The Crippled Lamb

When I was a kid, my mom would read me the story of The Crippled Lamb. It’s the story of a little Lamb who was born with a bad leg. He feels left out his entire life, until he’s awakened in the night by the baby Jesus being born in his stable. He learns whyContinue reading “The Crippled Lamb”

Looking Back

I was watching Ashlynn Eaton’s newest video the other day about 10 Ways to Improve Your Life Before 2022. Enjoy it here! It got me thinking about my digital clutter. With the way my life has been recently with my job and just being a mommy and wife, clutter and chores have been building upContinue reading “Looking Back”

Garrett Snuggles

Garrett decided that he wanted mommy snuggles. I’m absolutely willing to give him that! He really loves our Christmas tree. We went to Grandma Wilson’s house and went through a lot of ornaments that were from my childhood. The Rudolph and elf ornament is one of those and it makes me happy that it’ll beContinue reading “Garrett Snuggles”

Impromptu Christmas Lights!

With work, trying to get my story out into the world, and mom life, it’s been a bit insane! Ryan is applying for a new job and that has been extremely difficult for him. He thinks and over thinks a lot, especially around times of big change. There’s been a lot of things changing inContinue reading “Impromptu Christmas Lights!”

Dancing Lights

We told Garrett to wave at Santa and he did. The timing was perfect because he wavedContinue reading “Dancing Lights”

Getting Comfortable with Discomfort

My thought for today is on discomfort. Often we find ourselves at cross roads in our lives. One path usually will be to carry on as we have been, the road is familiar and we can see where it’ll take us. The other path holds more uncertainty for us, will it be as good? WhateverContinue reading “Getting Comfortable with Discomfort”

Christlike Qualities

I worked as a daycare teacher several years ago. That job taught me more about being a mother than any other I’ve ever had. I’d also babysat numerous children for most of my life. If I wasn’t a mommy and author, I’d be a daycare teacher. But do you know why I loved that jobContinue reading “Christlike Qualities”

Garrett Turns 2!

Garrett is 2!!! I can’t believe that our little peanut is two-years-old.  To celebrate his birthday, we went to the Living Planet Aquarium in Utah.  We saw fish, frogs, sharks, and our favorite, the penguins!! Next, we celebrated his birthday with a fun, family party at our house! Next came Halloween! He dressed up asContinue reading “Garrett Turns 2!”
