Welcome to The Author Mommy Blog!

Family photo, 2021

Hi! We’re the Williamson family! I’m Chandler, author and homemaker, minimalist and Latter- Day Saint. (Christian)

There’s too much negativity in the world today. With all the talk on politics and junk, I’ve been thinking and praying a TON about what I can do to improve and be a ray of sunshine in a world of darkness.

The conclusion I’ve come to?

A mommy blog featuring my family consisting of me, my husband, Ryan, our little boy, Garrett, our two cats, Nougat and Oakley, and a little baby on the way!

I’m very grateful for this opportunity to reach out to anyone who could use just a little more positivity or inspiration.

Now, a little background on our family.

Me and Ryan met at institute, a college- level religion class, in Ogden, Utah through a mutual friend and obsession with penguins. Ryan and I will write a post about our love story in the future, but for now, let that suffice.

We were married in the Provo City Center Temple in Provo, Utah August 16th, 2017. We just celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary. 🥰

We adopted our cat, Nougat, right before moving into our first home a year later.

I published my first 3 novels, The Holiday Spirit, Convicted: 25 to Life, and Beyond My Words soon after.

In October 28th, 2019, the love of our lives took his first breath. He’s now a bubbly little toddler with a heart of gold and a love of cleanliness, monster trucks, and Mickey Mouse.

In 2020, I discovered minimalism. I decluttered our little starter home in Ogden and never looked back.

In December 2020, my best friend, Roxie, died. RIP Sweetiebum.

God was looking out for us because the woman we adopted Nougat from had a litter of kittens ready to go to “furever homes” (as she calls it) a week after Roxie passed away. Which is where Oakley came into the picture.

Today, we’re living in our forever home in Clearfield, Utah and life couldn’t be better!

We can’t wait to share our story with you!
